Very clean, spacious and cheerfully decorated

My family absolutely loved their stay at The Poet’s Inn. The owners, Kelly and Kevin sent all information in a clear and timely manner and they responded quickly to any questions we had via email and text. The home was very clean, spacious and cheerfully decorated with Victorian touches. It more than comfortably accommodated 13 family members. The first floor bedroom and walk in shower was perfect for my grandmother who walks with a cane. The kitchen was fully supplied with everything we needed to cook and the large dining room table seated all of us with room to spare! Our favorite areas were the huge porch and back yard with patio, grills, fire pit and ping pong table. This excellent location made it a short walk to the beach, mall and many restaurants! It was the perfect setting for my family to stay for my wedding weekend! Thanks Kelly and Kevin

This place is perfect!

From nine 60+ women who all agree, this place is perfect! I can’t say enough good things about this house. It’s beautiful. The bedrooms are all so nice and have plenty of room for your things—dressers and closet space. The bathrooms are also very nice. The kitchen had everything that we needed and the large dining table was perfect for our large group. Centrally located to shops and restaurants. And the beach is a half a block away! The porch was perfect for all of us to sit for morning coffee and evening drinks. Plenty of parking. Basically we all couldn’t have loved it more.

Perfect Location

The house was in the perfect location! It was a 2-3 minute walk to the beach and a 2-3 minute walk to the mall. Everything was very clean and the house was very spacious. The back yard had plenty of room and a privacy fence, which was great for the kids. There is an arcade on the boardwalk right as you walk up, and mini golf at the end of the street which the kids loved! I definitely recommend The Poet’s Inn for any families going to visit Cape May. The communication was wonderful! Very fast responses to any questions I had, almost immediately or within 30-45 minutes at most. It was fantastic and we hope to be back next year!

Spacious house in the perfect location!

We stayed in this house for a bachelorette weekend and it was the perfect house. We had plenty of space for our group and everyone was very happy with the cleanliness of the house upon arrival. We were able to enjoy many laughs at the long table and everyone had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to spread out. We could easily walk for shopping, food, or drinks. We loved our stay and would happily book again :)

The tradition continues

After missing our Thanksgiving holiday at the Poet's Inn in 2020 due to the shut down in N.J. because of the pandemic, we were happy to return, once again, to the Inn with the family. The Poet's Inn is the perfect place to celebrate Thanksgiving, particularly with its cozy rooms and spacious kitchen, as well as a large dining room table that accommodates our growing family for the Thanksgiving feast. Also, the home is centrally located within easy walking distance to the beach, mall, restaurants and other attractions. There is a lively, festive atmosphere in Cape May during the Thanksgiving week with the lights and decorations of the coming Christmas season evident throughout, and the Poet's Inn provides easy access to all the sights and sounds that lift the spirit. Thanks to proprietors Kevin and Kelly for open communications and for running a top-class facility.

The Perfect Weekend

I have been coming to Cape May my whole life but the weekend we stayed at the Poet's Inn will be my favorite and one I will never forget. My sister got married this past weekend at the Virginia. The Poet's Inn was the perfect location. The house is not only beautiful but big enough for my whole family. This past weekend will truly be one we will never forget!

Poet's Inn - PERFECT!

We just came back from spending a week at The Poet's Inn. There were 11 of us and it was so nice to be together as a family. Eating in that huge dining room was special. No one eats together anymore so this was a nice option. My grandchildren loved the idea that all the girls could sleep in one room (sleepovers every night) and the boys did the same. Since we stayed here last year too, my granddaughter actually said she didn't want anything for Christmas this year except to go back to The Poet's Inn. The beach is a half block away and Washington Street a half block in the other direction, so centrally located, no driving is necessary. Can't say enough about Kelly and Kevin the owners. They keep a very clean, and organized Inn. Any questions, they immediately responded. Looking forward to next year and my granddaughter's next Christmas present.

Poet's Inn- Best house we have been in

This was our 4th year at Cape May. Best house we have been in. Will definitely go back. Back yard is great for outside eating and kids to play. Jackson St is the perfect loction between beach and mall. Owners easy to contact if you have questions. Large kitchen, 2 sitting areas on 1st floor, and a large front porch. We thoroughly enjoyed the accomodations.

Perfect Beach House and Location

We just had 3 generations spend a week at The Poet’s Inn, Cape May and we all felt that the house was very clean, very roomy, and in the perfect location between beach, restaurants and shops. We spent a lot of our time on the front porch, but the enclosed backyard was great for the younger ones, and there was plenty of room to spread out within the house. Plenty of on-site parking too, since we had multiple families all meet in Cape May. We would definitely recommend renting this house!

"We Could Not Have Been More Pleased"

Our third time at the Poet's Inn proved, once again, to be all that we could have asked for. The Inn is spacious and easily accommodated our family of fourteen. This was our first time at the Inn in the late spring; the previous two years, we enjoyed time away over the Thanksgiving holiday. Vacationing in the early June enabled us to make good use of the newly- finished porch as we frequently gathered there enjoying the steady movement of strollers traversing Jackson Street. The Inn is very conveniently located with easy walking access to the beach and local shops and restaurants. The Poet's Inn is a large and charming vacation home that could be enjoyed any time of the year. Thanks again for a wonderful getaway at our favorite N. J. shore community. John, Pat and family

Fall Get-Away

My friends and I loved our stay at the Poet's Inn! We had no trouble getting in and enjoyed the amenities like available Wi-Fi and laundry. The house was beautifully decorated and more than spacious enough for our group. The location allowed for quick walks to see the beach and the town or even go for a bike ride to Sunset Beach. After a long weekend, we wished we could stay for more. Thank you for a clean, safe stay during a strange fall!

Thanksgiving in Cape May

Thanksgiving 2019 was our family’s second consecutive year at The Poet’s Inn at 35 Jackson Street. Once again the home proved to be the perfect place to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in a spacious, cozy, tastefully decorated atmosphere that facilited family interaction and storytelling. Both our children and grandchildren look forward to getting away for the holiday and, in particular, staying at the Poet’s Inn, which is within walking distance of major attractions and restaurants. Also, the proprietors, Kevin and Kelly Peters, are very accommodating and responsive to the requests of vacationers. We look forward to returning to the Poet’s Inn in the future.

Superb Thanksgiving Holiday

Our family of 15 spent the Thanksgiving 2018 holiday (Wednesday - Sunday) at The Poet's Inn at 35 Jackson St., cooking a traditional family dinner on Thanksgiving day and enjoying throughout our stay the comfort of a very cozy, spacious home with plenty of room throughout for family games and interaction. Also, the home has been updated with all the conveniences that one could ask for; furthermore, the proprietors very personable and accommodating and easy to contact as needed.
